Water-based, two component crackle varnish to create antique, cracked surfaces. Apply component 1 in an even layer and let it dry completely. Then spread component 2. The depth and the network of the cracks depends on the thickness of the layer and on the technique of the application. The layer will dry transparent and waterproof. Highlight the cracks with Antique Paste or Liquid Patina. Needs to be sealed with a solvent based sealer.

For more of an effect, you can use a heat gun or hair dryer after step 2, but use the heat before the product is dried. Don‘t hold too close to your item.
